New Delhi: All players of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were spotted supporting black armbands in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 match against defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Tuesday. RCB paid homage to their star pace bowler Harshal Patel’s sister, who passed away on Saturday.

Harshal picked 2 wickets and gave away 23 runs in his 4 overs as he played a crucial role in helping Bangalore attain victory over Mumbai Indians on Saturday. On the very same day, he left the bio bubble in haste after he got to know about the death of his sister.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has so far played four matches in IPL before tonight’s match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and has won three consecutive matches after losing their first match this season. On the other hand, CSK has lost four matches in a row.

Talking about tonight’s match, RCB won the toss and invited CSK to bat first. RCB made two changes from their last game as Suyash Prabhudesai and Josh Hazlewood were included in the playing XI.

Batting first, CSK posted a mammoth 215/5 against Bangalore.

Faf du Plessis, after winning the toss, said that he feels that he has come out to play against his brothers. The RCB captain was part of the CSK team till last season and was instrumental in making CSK the champions in IPL 2021.
