In a shocking turn of events in Maharashtra, NCP leader Ajit Pawar took oath as the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra – third time since 2019.
Criticising Ajit Pawar’s move, senior Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said this ‘game’ will not be tolerated for long.
Raut said some people have taken up the task of cleaning up Maharashtra politics, ‘let them have their way’.
“I just had a talk with Mr. Sharad Pawar. He said ‘I am strong. We have the support of the people. We will rebuild everything again with Uddhav Thackeray’. Yes, people will not tolerate this gam for long,” Raut tweeted in Marathi.
“Some people seem to be determined to completely spoil Maharashtra’s politics. Let them proceed on their chosen path,” said Raut, in an apparent dig at Ajit Pawar, CM Shinde and the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Out of the total 53 NCP MLAs in the state, 30 are apparently with Ajit Pawar, who is the leader of Opposition in the state Assembly. Key NCP leaders Dilip Walse Patil, Hasan Mushrif, Chhagan Bhujbal took oath as Maharashtra ministers along with Ajit Pawar today.
Ajit Pawar met some party leaders and MLAs at his official residence ‘Devgiri’ in Mumbai earlier in the day.
