Delhi saw a cool day on Sunday as overcast conditions and light rain kept the temperature below normal.
According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) officials, the maximum temperature was recorded as 32.2 degrees Celsius, four degrees below normal.
The minimum was recorded as 21.4 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year.
Strong winds between 30 and 40 kmph were also observed, which brought the AQI down from 196 on Saturday to 140 on Sunday.
While only traces of rain were observed in most parts of the city, the weather station at Palam recorded 6.9 mm of rain during the day. At Pitampura and Pusa, 1 mm of rain was recorded.
An overcast sky, light rain and gusty winds are also expected on Monday, with the temperature expected to be between 33 and 20 degrees Celsius.
The relief, however, is short lived, with the maximum temperature expected to touch 38 degrees on Friday and Saturday. Very light rain and gusty winds, however, are expected on both days.
