India lifted the Asia Cup 2023 title after beating Sri Lanka convincingly by 10 wickets at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday.
The hosts were bowled out for just 50 runs as Mohammed Siraj ran riot, picking up 6/21. Later, the Indian openers Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill knocked off the target in just 6.1 overs to secure the win.

Praising him, Sharma said that he has come of age. “Siraj has to be given a lot of credit. It’s rare for seamers to move the ball in the air and off the pitch. He’s coming off age.
The Indian captain also highlighted the performance of his seamers as a unit and said, “Our seamers have been working really hard. Very very clear in their mind. It was good to see that. Such a performance we will cherish for a long time.”
Rohit also agreed with former India head coach and current commentator Ravi Shastri that India had ticked most of the boxes, and according to the India captain, they did everything they could’ve achieved as a team in the Asia Cup.
