TAIPEI (The China Publish) — A Taiwanese man who was to be fined NT$100,000 for violating quarantine guidelines when he returned to Taiwan from Hong Kong in 2020 has been acquitted on Wednesday after it was revealed he had been dragged from his dwelling by mortgage sharks.
In keeping with the Changhua Department of the Administrative Enforcement Company underneath the Ministry of Justice (法務部行政執行署彰化分署) who carried out the investigation, the person surnamed Chen had been involuntarily taken from his dwelling.
Chen returned to Taiwan on Oct. 30 and was presupposed to be underneath quarantine till Nov. 13. He selected to complete his quarantine at his buddy’s home however was quickly tracked down by mortgage sharks who, after beating him up, compelled him to a home in Nantou CIty.
