TAIPEI (The China Submit/ANN) — The Central Epidemic Command Heart (CECC, 中央流行疫情指揮中心) reported 1 imported COVID-19 case on Tuesday, bringing the tally to 891.
Talking at a press convention, Well being Minister Chen Shih-chung (陳時中) mentioned the imported case is a Taiwanese man in his forties (case 891) who had beforehand traveled to Mexico for work in November 2020.
He started experiencing signs of the virus on Jan. 3 and examined constructive on Jan. 6. He was quarantined in his lodge and hospital rooms in Mexico between Jan. 7 and Jan. 23.
As he had different underlying diseases, he requested medical consideration and submitted an utility for a global air ambulance which was quickly accepted.
He returned to Taiwan on Jan. 24 and the an infection was confirmed at the moment.
Case 891 was alone on the aircraft other than crew members who didn’t enter Taiwan, and was transported to an isolation room in a hospital upon arrival; subsequently, no potential contacts have been listed, the CECC mentioned.
As of press time, 880 instances have been confirmed thus far, together with 780 imported instances, 71 native infections, 36 instances aboard the Dunmu (敦睦) ship, 1 unknown case and 1 case (case 530) which later examined unfavourable.
Among the many confirmed instances, 7 individuals died, 797 have been launched from quarantine, and the remaining are underneath quarantine.
