TAIPEI (The China Post) — Health Minister Chen Shih-chung (陳時中) said on Wednesday that those who received a Medigen vaccine shot (高端疫苗) between Aug. 23 and Aug. 29 can expect to register for their second shot on Sep. 27.
In addition, Chen also asked health departments from local governments to designate contract medical clinics within its jurisdiction to provide vaccination prior to Sep. 27 for those who have urgent needs to go abroad and need to be vaccinated 28 days after the first dose.
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC, 中央流行疫情指揮中心) also explained that those who are heading abroad and need a second vaccination shot should provide tickets and payment records and head to designated clinics or hospitals to receive their second shot after consultation with doctors.
The CECC also reminded people to prepare the “COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card” and National Health Insurance (NHI) card before going to receive the second dose of vaccines.
Those who lost their “COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card” can return to the clinic or hospital where the first dose was administered and asked for a re-issue.
