We were thinking that Samsung has forgotten its activity tracker lineup, but according to the latest rumors, Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 is likely to be launched in the second half of this year. The Galaxy Fit 3 will be an update to Samsung’s fitness band lineup after 2020 when it had launched the Galaxy Fit 2. According to the information posted on Korean branch of the Samsung Community forum, the Galaxy Fit 3 may either launch this year or early next year, if there’s a delay.

The upcoming activity band from Samsung is likely to cost around KRW 49,000-50,000 or roughly Rs 2,990. However, no further details about the upcoming band have been leaked so far. It should be noted that the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 will face heavy competition from the likes of Fitbit, Xiaomi, Huawei, Garmin and Redmi smart bands.

Even though we do not have more details about the Galaxy Fit 3, it is likely that the company bumps up the specs and battery capacity in this wearable as the Galaxy Fit 2 included a larger 1.1-inch display, slightly bigger battery and improved efficiency that nearly doubled battery life compared to the first Galaxy Fit band. The Galaxy Fit 3 will compete with the likes of the Garmin Vivosmart 5 fitness tracker that comes with body battery energy monitoring, and the upcoming Xiaomi Band 7 with expected 120 exercise modes among others.

It should be noted that while Garmin Vivosmart 5 is an expensive activity band, the Xiaomi Band 7 will most likely be launched in the budget category. The Garmin Vivosmart 5 has been launched for Rs 14,990 in India and it is available in black and mint colour options. Meanwhile, the pricing of the Xiaomi Band 7 has also been leaked and according to that the Xiaomi Band 7 may be priced between 50 euros to 60 euros which roughly translates into Rs 4,000 to Rs 4,900.
