The Ram Lalla idol will be placed in the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Temple in the third week of January 2024, Swami Govind Dev Maharaj, treasurer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra said.
He made the comments on March 15 during a visit to Dombivili in Maharashtra to inaugurate various programmes. Speaking to the media, he said, ” the work of Lord Ramachandra Temple in Ayodhya is going on very fast and well. At present the work on the Temple is 70 per cent complete. We are sure that Ram Lalla will be installed at the original place in the third week of January 2024. Arrangements will be made for devotees to visit and offer prayers from that day itself.

On November 19 2019, a five-judge Bench of the Supreme Court headed by then Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi ruled in favour of Ram Lalla. The Bench said that the entire disputed land spread over 2.7 acres shall be handed over to a Trust formed the government, which will monitor the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the establishment of the Shri Janmabhoomi Teerth Ksehtra in February 2020, to oversee the construction of the Ram Mandir. On August 5 2020, PM Modi performed the Bhooma Puja for the building of the Temple.
