The Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) has adjourned the hearing in Punit Goenka’s appeal against Sebi confirmatory order to September 27. On Thursday, Sebi was questioned by the appellate tribunal about whether it would be able to wrap up the inquiry against Punit and his father, Subhash Chandra, in eight months or if it would ask for more time.
The capital market regulator had stated in its confirmatory order dated August 14 that it would complete the investigation against the father-son duo in eight months.
