According to the Secretariat, the new Parliament building has the capacity to comfortably seat 888 members in the Lok Sabha chamber and 300 members in the Rajya Sabha chamber.

New Parliament Building Likely To Be Inaugurated By PM Modi This month
The four-storey building is being built at an estimated cost of RRS 970 crore. It can house 1,224 MPs. Furthermore it has a massive Constitution hall which will showcase India’s democratic heritage. The building also has dining areas and ample parking space.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has designed a new uniform which will be work by the staff of both Houses.
The new building also has three new doors-Gyan Dwar, Shakti Dwar, and Karma Dwar. It also has a separate entry for MPS, VIPs and visitors.
The foundation stone for the new parliament building was laid by the Prime Minister on December 10, 2020. The construction of the new building has been completed with high-quality workmanship within a remarkably short period, as stated by the Lok Sabha Secretariat.
The existing Parliament building, which was constructed in 1927, is now 96 years old. Over time, it was found to be inadequate to meet the present-day requirements. Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha passed resolutions urging the government to construct a new building for the Parliament, leading to the realization of this project.
