TAIPEI (The China Post) — A couple in Keelung City called for help on Tuesday evening after experiencing strong side effects post receiving their Medigen vaccine (高端疫苗) shots that morning.
According to the Health Department of Keelung City, the man reported feeling limp while the woman couldn’t stop shivering; they were later transported to the emergency room at Keelung Hospital.
Local Chinese-language media reported that the couple had received Medigen shots earlier that day, and though both are conscious, the man reported feeling fatigued and weak as well as dizziness and both reported experiencing numbness in hands and feet.
In addition, the woman said she had respiratory problems as well as chills.
Doctors have reported that the couple’s electrocardiography looks normal and their blood tests have been taken.
Information is still being gathered by health officials, though this incident marks the third report of people experiencing strong side effects of the Medigen vaccine, following the death of a Taoyuan columnist and a resident in New Taipei City.
