IND vs AUS 4th Test: A video has gone viral on social media in which Virat Kohli can be seen sharing a light moment with Australia skipper Steven Smith on Day 3 of 4th Test between India and Australia at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. Steve Smith and Virat Kohli were spotted having a conversation, during which the Australian batting star went to suggest to Kohli something about his bat. The duo was then joined by Marnus Labuchagne as well.  “75 years of friendship, and friendship between Steven Smith and Virat Kohli. Two legends,” commentator Dinesh Karthik was heard saying in the viral video.

Day 3 of Ahmedabad Test was all about Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill. Both Indian batters, one the face of Indian cricket and other the ‘future’, batted with poise and maturity to help India reach 289 for three against Australia at the end of day’s play. Gill, the young talented opener, batted for almost six hours to score 128 runs off 235 balls. Virat Kohli (59 batting off 128 balls) shut his critics with his gritty knock in Ahmedabad as the legendary Indian batter batted for over two hours to bring up his 26th Test fifty — his fifty in Tests after a long gap of 14 months.

Batting first, Australia scored a total of 480 runs in their first innings. In reply, India are still 191 runs behind Australia’s first innings total.

India, leading the four-match series 2-1, will face Australia in the World Test Championship final if they beat the Aussies 3-1 in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

If Australia beats India and Sri Lanka defeats New Zealand 2-0 in their ongoing two-match Test series, then the World Test Championship will be played between Sri Lanka and Australia.

If IND vs AUS 4th Test in Ahmedabad ends in a draw, and New Zealand beats Sri Lanka 2-0, then the World Test Championship Final will be played between Australia and India in June at the Oval.
