New Delhi: India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 187.07 (1,87,07,08,111) crore. This has been achieved through 2,28,80,254 sessions.
So far, more than 2.53 (2,53,87,677) crore adolescents have been administered the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Similarly, the COVID-19 precaution dose administration for the age group 18-59 years also started from April 10, 2022, onwards. 2,37,279 precaution doses have been administered in the age group 18-59 years so far.
2,380 new cases and 56 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. India’s active caseload currently stands at 13,433. Active cases now constitute 0.03 per cent of the country’s total positive cases.
1,231 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients is now at 4,25,14,479. Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.76 per cent.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 4,49,114 COVID-19 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 83.33 (83,33,77,052) crore cumulative tests. The weekly positivity rate in the country currently stands at 0.43 per cent and the daily positivity rate is also reported to be 0.53 per cent.
