IMD predicts heavy rainfall in several states for next 4 days; check latest forecast

The weather forecasting agency stated that the chance for slight moderate showers and widespread thunderstorms in Northwest India is indicated. Today, West Uttar Pradesh is anticipated to see broad to widespread rains with sporadic heavy downpours.

Odisha, east Madhya Pradesh, the Vidarbha region, Telangana, and Chhattisgarh may see downpours beginning on Wednesday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), with scattered heavy to very heavy rainfall events could occur over east Uttar Pradesh and coastal Andhra Pradesh on Monday.

The weather forecasting agency stated that the chance for slight moderate showers and widespread thunderstorms in Northwest India is indicated. Today, West Uttar Pradesh is anticipated to see broad to widespread rains with sporadic heavy downpours.

Similar weather is anticipated in East Uttar Pradesh until Wednesday. Additionally, rain is anticipated for Uttarakhand today and once more from Wednesday to Friday, according to the IMD’s bulletin. Today, isolated area of extremely heavy rainfall is also predicted in east Uttar Pradesh.

The IMD added that light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning are anticipated in Central India. On Monday and Friday, West Madhya Pradesh can anticipate a similar weather trend. These conditions are anticipated to last through Friday across East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Vidarbha, according to the weather service.

Light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, and lightning are predicted for East India. Today and tomorrow, a similar weather trend is anticipated to affect the Andaman and Nicobar Islands as well as Bihar. This weather will continue in Odisha and Jharkhand through Friday, and in Gangetic West Bengal on Thursday and Friday, according to the IMD.

Additionally, Odisha has been forecast to have a few isolated episodes of very heavy rainfall from Wednesday to Friday. The prediction for South India predicts occasional isolated heavy rainfall episodes mixed in with light to moderate precipitation.

In addition to Rayalaseema on Monday, coastal Andhra Pradesh on today, tomorrow, and Friday, and Telangana on September 14 and 15, Kerala and Mahe can anticipate this kind of weather today and tomorrow. On Monday, isolated areas of coastal Andhra Pradesh may also suffer very heavy downpours, according to the IMD.

The weatherman continued by saying that light to moderate rains, thunderstorms, and lightning are expected in West India. According to the IMD, these circumstances are predicted to occur on Friday in the Konkan and Goa regions as well as the ghat regions of Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada.

Light to moderate thunderstorms and sporadic rainfall are anticipated in northeast India. These conditions will likely be present in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya today and tomorrow, while Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura will have it until Friday. Tomorrow, an isolated area of very heavy rain is expected in Assam and Meghalaya, according to the IMD.
