VARANASI: All eyes will be on the team of advocates representing Anjuman Intezamia Masjid (AIM) when hearing resumes in the court of district judge on Monday, as they will continue their arguments challenging the maintainability of case no 693/2021 Rakhi Singh Vs UP government and others filed by five women plaintiffs seeking permission to worship Goddess Shringar Gauri and other deities in Gyanvapi mosque.
On May 26, the district judge had started hearing the case on the issue of its maintainability in compliance with the order of the apex court.
AIM advocates are likely to mention how Gyanvapi mosque is covered under the Protection of Places of Worship Act, 1991, besides other laws and orders of the SC.
