BEIJING, June 27 (Xinhua) — The China Nationwide Area Administration (CNSA) on Sunday launched new movies and pictures of the nation’s Mars probe Tianwen-1 touchdown on and exploring the crimson planet.
The movies present the touchdown rover deploying its parachute and descending to the Martian floor, and its Mars rover Zhurong driving away from its touchdown platform and transferring over the land.
The photographs embody the Martian panorama and the ruts left behind by the rover.
As of the morning of June 27, the orbiter of the Tianwen-1 mission has been working round Mars for 338 days, and its Earth-Mars distance is roughly 360 million km.
The Mars rover Zhurong has been engaged on Mars for 42 Martian days and has pushed a complete of 236 meters.
Zhurong will proceed its motion, detection, and scientific exploration missions as deliberate.
The orbiter will proceed to function in a relay orbit, offering relay communication for the rover’s scientific exploration whereas conducting its personal scientific detection operations.
