New Delhi: The Defence Analysis and Growth Organisation (DRDO) on Monday (January 25, 2021) carried out the profitable maiden launch of the Akash-NG (New Technology) Missile from Built-in Take a look at Vary off the coast of Odisha. The Akash-NG is a brand new technology Floor to Air Missile meant to be used by Indian Air Power with an intention of intercepting excessive maneuvering low RCS aerial threats.

They added that the efficiency of the Command and Management system, onboard avionics and aerodynamic configuration of the missile was efficiently validated in the course of the trial.
“Throughout the check launch, the complete flight path of the missile was monitored and the flight knowledge was captured by varied Vary devices equivalent to Radar, EOTS and Telemetry programs deployed by ITR, Chandipur. The Multi Perform Radar was examined for its functionality of integration with the system,” stated MoD.
The check launch was carried out by a mixed workforce of DRDO, BDL & BEL within the presence of the representatives of Indian Air Power.
