Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel’s son Anuj Patel, who suffered a brain stroke on April 30, has been taken off the ventilator, and he is out of the coma, as per the health bulletin issued by PD Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai Monday.
“He communicates, is out of coma, and off (the) ventilator. CT scan done today is satisfactory. His vitals are stable. Though there is still a long road to recovery, it is indeed satisfactory progress from the condition he was brought in. Mr. Anuj B. Patel will be shifted shortly to alternative facility for prolonged rehabilitation,” the statement further read.
On Sunday, the hospital stated Anuj was under observation at the ICU and had already been taken off the ventilator. Anuj was airlifted to Mumbai on May 1.
