SOFIA, May 20 (Xinhua) — The 3rd Chinese Bridge-Chinese Show for Foreign Primary School Students in Bulgaria was held here on Saturday.
As many as 13 children from four schools participated in the event, which was held in the Multifunctional Hall of the Confucius Institute in Sofia.
Due to his excellent performance in the show, Yanis Enchev from Sofia’s private school “Evlogi and Hristo Georgievi” will represent Bulgaria at the global finals.
The nine-year-old Enchev told Xinhua that he has been studying Chinese for four years, and liked it very much.
He said he started learning Chinese because he wanted to learn the Chinese language, go to China, talk to Chinese people, “and because I like Chinese culture very much.”
