IPL 2022 Gujarat vs Kolkata Live: Gujarat Titans (GT) will face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL 2022 on Saturday. Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya has won the toss and elected to bat first. There has been a change in the Gujarat’s playing XI from last match. Captain Pandya, who did not play in the last match, is playing for his team today.

Pandya has replaced all-rounder Vijay Shankar in the playing XI of Gujarat Titans.  On the other hand, there have been three changes in KKR’s playing XI from their last match. Tim Southee, Rinku Singh and Sam Billings have been included in the playing XI.  Sheldon Jackson, Aaron Finch and Pat Cummins have been excluded.

Kolkata Knight Riders Playing XI: Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer (Captain), Nitish Rana, Andre Russell, Sam Billings, Rinku Singh, Team Southee, Sam Billings, Sunil Narine, Shivam Mavi, Umesh Yadav and Varun Chakraborty.

Gujarat Titans Playing XI: Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya (c), David Miller, Abhinav Manohar, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Alzarri Joseph, Loki Ferguson, Mohammed Shami and Yash Dayal.

KKR are seventh in the points table after losing 4 out of their 7 matches.  This team has failed to maintain the momentum they got after a good start to their IPL 2022 campaign.  KKR won 3 out of their first four matches of IPL 2022. However, the good thing for the team is that the captain Shreyas Iyer is in strong form.

Umesh Yadav is doing amazing in bowling. However, the team also has to struggle on many fronts. There is no support in batting from Nitish Rana, Venkatesh Iyer and Sheldon Jackson.  Cummins and Russell also lacked consistency.  In bowling too, apart from Umesh and Varun, no other bowler has been able to impress.

On the other hand, the team of Gujarat seems to be playing like a champion. The team is at the second position in the points table by winning 5 matches out of 6 matches. Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill, David Miller, Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan have shown their strength in the batting.  All these players have won each match on their own.
