India vs Sri Lanka Asia Cup 2023 Final Colombo weather report: Rohit Sharma-led India is all set to square off against defending champions India in Sunday’s blockbuster IND vs SL Asia Cup 2023 Final match in Colombo’s R Premadasa Stadium. The six-team continental tournament has come down to the summit clash, 7-time Asia Cup winners India will lock horns with co-hosts Sri Lanka for the crown. However, rain is expected to play spoilsport in IND vs SL Asia Cup 2023 final. Rain, which has affected almost every match in the tournament, has cast a shadow over Colombo’s R Premadasa Stadium and as per several weather forecast websites, rain is expected to persist on Sunday (September 17) as well.

India vs Sri Lanka Asia Cup 2023 Final Latest Weather Forecast

As per Accuweather, the forecast for Sunday (September 17) is: “Cloudy; a thundershower in parts of the area in the morning followed by a couple of thunderstorms around in the afternoon.” The website further reports that there’s 90% probability of precipitation with 54% chances of thunderstorms in Colombo on Sunday. IND vs SL Asia Cup 2023 Final match may experience a delayed start.

The toss for IND vs SL Asia Cup 2023 Final is scheduled to take place at 2:30 PM IST and the match starts at 3:00 PM IST. Rain is expected to affect the match in the evening as well, resulting in frequent interruptions or even reduction of match overs. As per the ICC rules, at least 20 overs per side need to be bowled for a match to be considered as an official ODI fixture.

Asian Cricket Council (ACC) have kept a Reserve Day (September 18) if IND vs SL Asia Cup 2023 Final gets washed out due to rain on Sunday (September 17).

If rain kicks in even on the Reserve day then both the teams — India and Sri Lanka — will be declared as joint-winners of Asia Cup 2023.
